• General Secretary, Bombay Pradesh Youth Congress in 1978-79.
• Appointed as Member, National Council , Indian Youth Congress(I) Committee.
• Convener , Anti Narcotics Cell , All india Congress Committee , New Delhi.
• Secretary , Cultural Committee Of the Congress Centenary Celebrations In 1985.

• Vice Chairman - Nehru Yuvak Kendra Sangathan, an autonomous organisation in the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, with the rank of Deputy Minister.
• Member, National Aids Control Committee, Ministry of Health, Govt. of India.
• Member, National Youth Advisory Commitee, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.
• Member Citizen' flood Relief Committee, Govt of Maharashtra 1978-79.

Representing India...

• Member - Govt of India delegation at the Commonwealth youth Center's workshop on Drug Abuse at Kuala lumpur, Malaysis july 1988.
• Attended the Commonwealth Youth Center's meeting of experts on drug abuse, as the only expert from India, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in April 1989.
• Member Govt. of India delegation to the Commonwealth Youth Minister's Meeting held at Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies, in may 1995.
• Only India representative in the Permanent Commission of international Preparatory Committee for the XII World Youth and Student festival held in Pyongyang, D.P.R korea in 1989. This was the first time a Congress (I) was nominated to this prestigious international committee.

The early days... &  other Achievements..

• Started his career in active social and public life as a youth activist in his college days in 1975. Went on to hold various position in University and educational institutions as well as in socio-cultural forums.
• Was awarded the best Student's Trophy by Smt.MMK College of Commerce & Economics, Bombay at a felicitation of past students in 1978.
• Member- all India Peace council  1975-78.
• General Secretary -Jawaharlal Nahru National Youth Center, Bombay 1978-79.
• Secretary- Indo - GDR Friendship Association, Bombay 1979-82.
• Initiated the Adult Education Scheme under the aegis of the N.S.S all over Bombay on amassive scake in 1976-78.
